UAE Extends Deadline for Filing Corporate Tax Returns and Settling Corporate Tax Payable for Certain Taxpayers

The UAE has announced an extension for certain taxpayers to file their Corporate Tax Returns and settle Corporate Tax Payable under the Federal Decree-Law No. 47 of 2022 on the Taxation of Corporations and Businesses, along with its amendments.

On September 25, 2024, the UAE issued Federal Tax Authority Decision No. 7 of 2024, which provides the following updates.

The deadline to file the Tax Return and settle the Corporate Tax Payable has been extended to no later than 31 December 2024 for:

  • Taxable Persons that were incorporated, established, or recognized under the applicable legislation of the State on or after 1 June 2023,

and

  • whose Tax Period ended on or before 29 February 2024.

Taxpayers are advised to refer to official UAE authorities’ communications for the most accurate and up-to-date information on tax-related matters.
